DLSU Alumnus Donated Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber As Response To Duterte's SONA

During President Rodrigo Duterte's State of the Nation Address (SONA) on July 24, he discussed the needs of our wounded soldiers.

According to him, he went to the hospital of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and asked if they have Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber. Unfortunately, the persons he asked said the hospital does not have it. He then narrated this on his SONA.

However, a post from a De La Salle University alumnus went viral after the President's State of the Nation Address. Mr. Tinton Deveza in a Facebook post said he is willing to donate a Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber for the use of our soldiers who have been wounded in wars.

Hyberbaric Oxygen Chamber

President Duterte in his SONA narrated: Addressing the AFP Medical Hospital, "Do you have a Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber in this hospital? It works wonders in healing gangrene and in post-amputation procedure ..."

Mr. President, I am hereby donating to AFP Medical Facility this state-of-the-art HYPERBARIC OXYGEN CHAMBER for the use of our soldiers who have been wounded in wars. Dr. Jojo, your doctor at V. Luna Hospital would know how to operate it. (This chamber was worth over P10 Million.)

Mr. President Duterte, kindly accept this humble donation. My family and I would be overjoyed when you accept it.
(May I ask Menchu Abada or Willie Torres na ipa-abot etong donation na eto to Pres. Duterte thru your connections. Btw, the man inside the chamber is not included in the donation.)

A prominent social media blogger and known supporter of the President, Krizette Laureta Chu, commended Deveza on his act of kindness and immediately reposted his Facebook post on her wall with this caption,

Dear Mr. Tinton Deveza, God bless your kind heart. If there is one legacy that the President is leaving this country, it's that 90 percent of us have become partners for change. Thank you, Mr. Deveza! Those who can afford to help this government, should. Those who cannot, wag na magpasaway. This is the start of our nation building. I am so proud to be Filipino right now. Lorraine Marie T. Badoy, please help daw facilitate his donation.

Netizens who read their post were happy to see Deveza's donation. Some thanked him and others were very proud of what he'd done.

As of this writing, Deveza's Facebook post generated more than 2,000 shares while Chu's post gained more than 1,100 shares from the netizens.
