Philippines' Maureen W. Wroblewitz Wins Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle . 

Asia’s Next Top Model is one of the premier modeling competitions in this side of the world. For months, audiences have followed the journey of thirteen stunning model hopefuls who are looking to bag the grand prize. Completing the roster is the Philippines’s own Maureen Wroblewitz, who has emerged as a dark horse in the competition.

The Philippines is known to rally behind their countrymen when it comes to international competitions, so the overwhelming support Maureen Wroblewitz is getting should come as no surprise. Still, the end result lies on the 19-year-old model, who happens to be the youngest and shortest of all the girls.
Maureen’s modeling sprouted when the half-Pinay, half-German stunner was scouted by a local modeling agency in Germany. However, Maureen was only 15 at that time, so her father advised her to finish school before pursuing her dreams. Sure enough, her dreams finally paid off when she moved to the Philippines to kick-start her modeling career. It was around this time when Maureen’s manager asked if she was interested in auditioning for Asia’s Next Top Model Cycle 5. At first, Maureen was apprehensive, but she took on the challenge and was eventually chosen as a finalist.

Maureen’s top model journey has been riddled with different challenges. Ironically, her biggest problem had nothing to do with the actual competition. She was often the target of bullying from the other girls because of her beauty and the constant praise she got from the judges. At one point, Indonesia’s Clara Tan even pointed out to Maureen that she did not deserve to be part of the top five.

After hearing what she planned to do on the photoshoot, my feeling like: "OMG, it's very touching". I can feel what she said are from the bottom of her heart. She not only have a pretty face outside but also a beautiful soul inside! That's why right now I'm rooting for her, not because of her model aspect but the one that who she is!

Modeling competition is not just about the experience,judges are not looking for an experienced you know?they are looking for a good one who can pose or can express properly and give the best of all the best they expected to be,and doesn't matter if u dont have experience as long as you have the confident to show the world that u can and also the attitude,mostly experience model are high pride,self- centered and always underestimate someone...will goodluck to them!!Go Maureen, keep on fighting.

Well congratulations Maureen, you did quite great job this week. 

I hope she won and nailed for the next Asntm this cycle, I'm so tired with the other girl attitude, too much cheap drama like clara who I want to slap her mouth, dorothy with the over confident, and maybe other girl again who wanna join them...

I love it when the judges say that she is not just the pretty face ANYMORE she is becoming the TOP MODEL THAT THEY KNOW SHE IS. 😍 Beat that to those people who criticize her about her PRETTY FACE and other things they say just to make them selves believe that MAUREEN IS NOT A THREAT. 😉She's becoming a BIG THREAT guys so better fabricated those issues/lies that you wanna tell her because honestly IT TURNS OUT TO BE THE BOAST FOR HER SUCCESS.
